The Barn Restaurant has been a Rose Family business for over 50 years. Frank and Carol Rose owned the ESSO station on the corner, in 1972 they purchased the restaurant. In the early days they served locals and travelers 24/7.
The Rose Family continues to operate into it's 3rd generation. Serving daily hand pressed burgers, fresh cut fries and classic diner comfort food.
Fish fry's on Fridays and made in-house fried cake donuts on the weekends starting at 8am.
Enjoy a nostalgic experience of a 1950's diner. The Barn Restaurant showcases vintage décor including Coca-Cola pieces, toys and more that create the atmosphere of stepping back in time.
Rosie's Donuts are fresh fried cake donuts served on Saturday and Sunday starting at 8am and serving until close at 2pm.

"Beautiful: THE American classic"
Aug 9, 2019 manfred-m-germany, Aachen, Germany
At a lonely crossroads in the endless expanses of New York State: A red wooden farmhouse invites you to take a relaxing break after hours of driving over mountains, valleys and fields. You can see glowing neon's, an antique gas station, many colorful flowers planted in zinc tubs, a rusty old tractor, inviting wooden benches and tables - a revival of the good old days... The friendly owner and her daughter welcome us like friends and serve us one refreshing drink. There is classic American food, wings, burgers, fries, salads and omelets, sweet desserts, ice cream and much more, lovingly homemade from fresh produce from nearby farms. And inside the restaurant you feel like you're back in the '50s: Comfortable diner benches and tables, old Coke machines, music box and many other nice retro details. We meet friendly local people eating here or picking up their take-out menu and others taking a break from their long journey. My other highlight as a lover of American 'classic cars' is right next to the diner: a nostalgic car repair shop with a huge collection of rare antique trucks and vintage cars from long forgotten times, which is run by the man from the friendly family. Beautiful memories - here in Piffard, NY they stay alive for us!
